Erik Frijlink is a director at MimeCure and former Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy at the University of Groningen, a position he has held since 1998. Prior to his academic career, he led the Pharmaceutical Development department at Solvay Pharmaceuticals. His research group is internationally recognized for its work in advanced drug delivery and formulation technologies, with a strong focus on stabilizing complex biological medicines. Erik is a co-inventor on more than 20 patents, several of which have been successfully translated into commercial products.
